Modern injection systems place very high demands on the fuel filter. For example, a particularly high degree of fuel purity must be guaranteed for the injection system, as the components have only a very low tolerance. This means that even the smallest dirt particles can lead to a malfunction or failure of the system. The dirt particles can clog lines or lead to component wear. A diesel filter, gasoline filter or liquid gas filter can filter out these particles. Likewise, water disrupts the circuit because it can lead to corrosion. This can get into the tank from condensation during refueling. Some fuel filters can also filter out the water.
In addition, the filter media must be resistant to modern fuels. Only in this way can they offer consistent filter performance over a wide temperature range (between -40 °C and 100 °C) and ensure a high flow rate. In addition, fuel filters must also be mechanically resilient, especially since some filters are mounted on the vehicle floor.
A new requirement is crash safety. This means that the filter elements must not break even in the event of an accident. This prevents fuel from leaking out. All diesel filters, gasoline filters and liquid gas filters have a frost-proof valve design and partly in addition a heater and a water drainage device.
All fuel filters have to meet the same requirements, even though they come in different types:
Regardless of where they are placed or which of the elements are replaced, what they all have in common is that they keep the fuel clean for consistently good engine performance.
Every diesel filter, gasoline filter and liquid gas filter becomes clogged over time and thus obstructs the flow of fuel. This leads to a rough engine running as well as reduced engine performance. To prevent this, the fuel filter is renewed at regular intervals. Usually after about 60,000 kilometers. The replacement takes place within the prescribed inspection dates.
Fuel filters differ in quality by their material, workmanship, and fit. The filter paper, as well as all other components, must meet or exceed the vehicle manufacturer's requirements to maintain long-term engine performance. Therefore, diesel filters, gasoline filters and liquid gas filters should be used in OEM quality. The fuel filters offered by us meet all specified criteria and are partly also installed by the vehicle manufacturers directly with ex works in the vehicles. Therefore, you can expect the highest quality here and at a lower price than the original filters.
Among other things, you can find fuel filters from the following manufacturers:
Each fuel filter is only suitable for certain vehicles, so it is best to select your vehicle before buying fuel filter. Then you will be shown only suitable filters. These are then to be checked again in detail to see if there are any other restrictions to consider and, if everything fits, can be purchased directly. Whether you need a diesel filter, gasoline filter or liquid gas filter, you can see in the owner's manual of your vehicle. If you have questions about buying a fuel filter, you can contact our customer service with the chassis number of your vehicle.
